Iran's Non-Oil Trade Volume With Italy Up 40%

Iran traded 371,876 tons of non-oil commodities worth $508.04 million with Italy during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22), registering a 40.12% growth in tonnage and a 3.71% decrease in value compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s latest data show. Iran’s exports to Italy stood at 324,347 tons worth $162.01 million, up 59.21% and 52.73% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Italy was Iran’s 13th biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported non-alloy metal and steel, metal and steel ingots, as well as semi-finished metal and steel to Italy during the four-month period. Italy exported 47,528 tons of goods worth $346.03 million to Iran, down 22.94% and 17.92% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. It was also the 13th major exporter of goods to Iran over the four months. The imports mainly included industrial furnaces, baking machinery and pumps.
