The Iranian security forces handed 129 Pakistani nationals to Levies Forces (a paramilitary force in the Pakistani province of Balochistan, operating as a law enforcement agency tasked with maintaining law and order) at the common border in Taftan area of Chaghi District on Monday.
According to Levies sources, these Pakistani workers had entered Iran to make a living. They were apprehended from different parts of Iran by security forces, as they were living there without valid traveling documents, Pakistan Today reported.
The sources said these deportees would be handed over to Federal Investigation Agency for further investigation after the completion of the preliminary inquiry.
FIA is a border control, counter-intelligence and security agency overseen by the interior secretary of Pakistan.
