3 Million Trips Daily Via Tehran Subway

Some three million trips involving 1.6 million passengers are made via Tehran Subway per day, a board member of Tehran Urban and Suburban Railway Operation Company said.
“Tehran Subway will stretch across 300 kilometers by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2019), when lines 6 and 7 come on stream. The subway has 116 stations with 1,250 wagons,” Ali Abdollahpour was also quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.
Some 10,000 people, he added, are employed in Tehran Subway.
