Cabinet Approves Division of Cooperatives Ministry

The Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare will be split into two separate ministries of “Social Welfare” and “Labor and Cooperatives” following the Cabinet’s approval on Sunday. 
The change would allow for greater focus on improving job creation to solve unemployment and lending strong support to the underprivileged and marginalized strata of society, IRNA reported. 
The motion was proposed by the Administrative and State Recruitment Organization of Iran and sent to the parliament in the form of a double-urgency bill for final approval.
