Data from Iran’s Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization show industrial estates across Iran have 33,012 production units, 7,875 of which (23.85%) have stopped operating and 11,807 units (35.7%) are operating below 50% capacity.
In other words, close to 60% of the production units are either out of operation or operating under 50% capacity, ILNA reported.
The data also indicate that 14,055 units (42.5%) are operating at 50-70% capacity and only 7,140 units (21.8%) are operating above 70% capacity.
Sadeq Najafi, managing director of the organization, said the government revived 201 industrial units across Iran during the first three months of the current fiscal year (March 21-June 21).
