Iran exported 27,227 tons of evaporative coolers worth $75.71 million during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21).
The above data were culled by Financial Tribune from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s latest report.
Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan and China were the biggest customers of Iranian evaporative coolers during the period. Also known as swamp cooler, desert cooler and wet air cooler, evaporative coolers can reduce energy consumption and equipment used for air conditioning as an alternative to compressor-based cooling in arid climates.
It is one of the main home appliances exported from Iran.
