More than 850 thousand tons of commodities have been exported to Iraq via Chazzabeh border terminal during the first nine months of the current year (March 21- December 21), which illustrates a 107 percent rise compared to the same period last year, IRNA reported on Monday. According to Abdorahim Nateghi, the governor of Dasht-e-Azadegan county in Khuzestan province, in this period, the value of exports through Chazzabeh was above $142 million. The exported goods included fruit, vegetable, cement, and construction materials among others. Chazzabeh, which is located in Iran’s southwestern Khuzestan province, is a strategic gateway to neighboring Iraq.
