IRICA Ready to Implement Import Ban

The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration notified on Sunday the directive on banning the import of 1,339 items categorized under “Group Four”, which are non-essential and have domestic counterparts, to all customs terminals across the country. Prohibited imports include cars, refrigerators, freezers, automatic folding cabin doors of elevators, tractors, milk powder, ambulance, range hoods, stoves, ovens, tea- and coffee-makers, cameras, musical instruments and auto parts, IRNA reported.
