Close to 452,900 tons of green beans worth more than $247.86 million were imported into Iran during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21-May 21), registering a 72.4% and 69.5% growth in weight and value respectively, compared with the similar period of last year.
Figures released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration also showed that green beans imports accounted for 8.6% of the volume and 3.6% of the value of Iran’s total imports over the period, Mehr News Agency reported.
