Imam Khomeini Port Throughput Grows 12%

More than 7.2 million tons of oil and non-oil commodities were loaded and unloaded at Imam Khomeini Port in the southern Khuzestan Province during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21-May 21), which shows a 12% growth compared with the corresponding period of last Year, the director general of the province’s Ports and Maritime Organization said.
“Non-oil loading and unloading amounted to close to 4.65 million tons, registering a 10% rise year-on-year. Oil throughput stood at more than 3.03 million tons, indicating a 15% increase YOY,” Adel Deris was also quoted as saying by the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
