Markazi Province exported 247,775 tons of commodities worth $231.65 million during the first two months of the current fiscal year (started March 21), registering an increase of 22% and 64% in tonnage and value respectively compared year-on-year, the director general of the province’s customs administration said. According to Mehdi Mir-Ashrafi, goods from Markazi Province were exported to 51 destinations, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan, Bulgaria and Armenia, IRNA reported.
Exports mainly included hydrocarbons, linear low-density polyethylene, polypropylene, high-density polyethylene, fruit juice, glass, crystalware and potato chips.
