Iran exports poultry and fish to 10 countries, the deputy minister of agricultural jihad told Mehr news agency on Saturday. Iran produces a surplus of 10 thousand tons of white meat every month and exports it to 10 countries, Hassan Rokni said. More than 2 million tons of poultry and fish are produced at home every year, while the domestic need is 1.9 thousand tons, he added. In the first six months of the current year (to end March 20), the export of chicken meat from Iran registered an increase of 80% compared to the same period last year, the official added.
