Non-Oil Trade With Sweden Exceeds 100%

Iran traded $723.35 million worth of non-oil goods with Sweden during the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2018), showing a growth of 107.68% compared to the year before, making the Scandinavian nation Iran’s 23rd biggest trading partner. As per the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s data, Iran exported 3,673 tons of commodities worth $18.74 million to Sweden last year, posting a 0.34% and 32.91% growth in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Exports mainly included carpet, flooring, wooden pallets and saffron. Sweden exported 140,513 tons of goods worth $704.60 million to Iran during the period, up 347.28% and 110.84% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. Iran mainly imported tractor parts, SDH transmitter and receiver, and aluminum oxide from Sweden last year.
