Agriculture Minister Attends FAO Confab

Iran’s Agriculture Minister Mahmoud Hojjati participated in the 34th Session of FAO Regional Conference for the Near East in the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations headquarters in Rome on Thursday and Friday.
According to the minister, climate change and regional governments’ cooperation to battle its consequences, agro-ecology, changes in West Asian and African agro sectors, challenges posed by youth unemployment and migration as well as cross-border contagion of plant, livestock and fish diseases were surveyed during the event, IRNA reported.
