    29% Rise in Exports From Bazargan Border Crossing

    More than 1.68 million tons of non-oil products were exported from Bazargan border crossing in West Azarbaijan Province located in northwest Iran in the last Iranian year (March 2017-18), showing a 29% increase compared with the previous year. This was announced by Amir Eshqi, the head of Transits and International Transportation Bureau with the province’s Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization, the Persian daily Donya-e-Eqtesad reported. “More than 105,280 trucks exported these goods during the period, registering a 1% rise year-on-year,” he said. Eshqi noted that during the same period, 1.33 million tons of goods were imported through Bazargan border crossing, indicating a 5% growth. “Imports were made using close to 158,100 trucks, which shows a 7% increase YOY,” he said.
