Out of 44 selected industrial and mineral products surveyed by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade, the production of 31 items experienced growth and 13 others saw a decline during the last Iranian year (March 2017-18).
The production of these items had an overall growth of 70% over the period, the Persian economic daily Donya-e-Eqtesad reported.
The top commodities that experienced the highest growth in the industrial sector were combines, bus, minibus and vans, different kinds of paper and cardboard.
A total of 758 combines were manufactured during the period, registering an 86% hike compared with the previous year.
