Non-Oil Export Production Units Witness 37% Rise

A total of 11,000 production units are engaged in non-oil exports in the last fiscal year (March 2017-18), marking a rise of 37% compared with close to 8,000 units the year before, thes deputy minister of industries, mining and trade said.
“Around 2,800 exporters sold more than $1 million worth of commodities to their foreign partners while the figure stood at 2,550 the year before,” Mojtaba Khosrotaj was also quoted as saying by IRNA.  
According to Khosrotaj, who doubles as the head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, Iran’s non-oil exports amounted to $47 billion and $44 billion in the last year and the preceding year respectively.
