The Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare’s Center of Statistics has published Iran’s provincial share of GDP for the fiscal 2015-16.
Tehran Province, wherein lies the capital city, contributed the most to the economy, both inclusive and exclusive of oil.
South Khorasan had the least contribution of all Iranian provinces including oil production and Ilam’s GDP share was the smallest excluding oil.
The report also shows per capita GDP of Bushehr was the biggest among all provinces and that of Sistan-Baluchestan was the smallest.
