Head of Fisheries Department in Mazandaran province, Hassan Habibnejad, said on Tuesday that 361.9 kg of caviar, worth more than $314,000, were exported from the province in the first 9 months of the current year (to end March 20). The figure shows about 65 percent growth both in weight and value compared to the similar period last year, IRNA reported.  Habibnejad said in Azar (the 9th month of the Iranian calendar) alone, 11 kg of caviar, worth $10,000, were exported to Europe from Mazandaran. He added that overall, 6,619 tons of fish, worth $27.9 million, were exported from the province in the first nine months of this year. He explained proper climatic and geographic conditions and large amount of water resources in Mazandaran are the most important advantages of the province. Annually more than 65,000 tons of fish are produced in the province.
