SCI Puts Inflation  at 8.1%

The goods and services Consumer Price Index in the 12-month period ending April 20, which marks the end of the Iranian month of Farvardin, increased by 8.1% compared with last year’s corresponding period. The Statistical Center of Iran also put the inflation rate for the preceding month, which ended on March 20, at 8.2%. The overall CPI (using the Iranian year to March 2017 as the base year) stood at 112.9 in Farvardin, indicating a 1.3% rise compared with the previous month.  The index registered a year-on-year increase of 7% compared with the similar month of last year.  SCI put urban and rural inflation for Farvardin at 8% and 8.3% respectively.
