A total of $851 million worth of commodities were exported from Iran’s free trade zones during the first 10 months of the current fiscal year (March 21, 2017-Jan. 20), indicating a 23% rise compared with last year’s corresponding period. Meanwhile, $460 million worth of commodities were reexported from the Iranian FTZs, posting a 14% rise year-on-year, IRNA reported. Iran is home to seven free trade zones, namely Kish, Qeshm, Chabahar, Anzali, Arvand, Maku and Aras, and 64 special economic zones.
