    Iran Customs Revenues Top $4.5b This Year

    Revenues generated by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration earned since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2017) to March 11, 2018, stands at 215 trillion rials ($4.57 billion), registering a 25% rise year-on-year, IRICA chief, Foroud Asgari, told Fars News Agency on Friday.

    The latest report by the Central Bank of Iran shows tax on imports generated 117.3 trillion rials ($2.49 billion) in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year to Jan. 20, 30.1% more than last year’s corresponding period.

    IRICA’s latest stats show a total of 33.93 million tons of goods worth $47.65 billion were imported into Iran during the first 11 months of the current fiscal year (March 21, 2017-Feb. 19), indicating a 23.61% rise YOY.
