More than 17 million tons of non-oil products worth $6.59 million were exported from Khuzestan Province during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2017-Feb. 19), showing a 10% and 14% growth in weight and value respectively compared with the corresponding period of last year. According to Nourollah Hassanzadeh, the head of Khuzestan Industries, Mines and Trade Organization, the main exported items over the period were chemical products, petrochemicals, polyethylene, iron and steel, fruit and vegetables, plastic products, butane, iron ore, clinker, dairy and construction material. The main export destinations for these products were China, the UAE, Iraq, India, Thailand, Turkey, Egypt, Kenya, Kuwait and Oman, the official was quoted as saying by Shata.
