With exports of more than 34.12 million tons of products worth close to $13.4 billion during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2017-Feb. 19), Bushehr Province was Iran’s top export hub, an official with Bushehr Customs Administration said. “Exports amounted to 18.23 million tons worth nearly $7.02 billion, when gas condensates are excluded,” Behrouz Qarehbeygi was also quoted as saying by IRNA. According to the official, the main exported commodities over the period, in addition to gas condensates, include petrochemical products, fertilizers, cement and clinker, fish and farmed shrimp, sulfur, gypsum, plaster, tomatoes and barley. China, South Korea, the UAE, India, Japan, Indonesia, Turkey, Taiwan, Kenya and Qatar were the main export destinations.  Qarehbeygi added that more than 1.06 million tons of commodities were imported into Bushehr during the same period. Bushehr Province is located in southern Iran, with a long coastline along the Persian Gulf.
