Trade between Iran and the Czech Republic stood at €70.77 million in 2017, indicating a 24% increase compared with the previous year.
Iran exported around €3.65 million worth of commodities to the European country over the period, indicating a 23.82% rise year-on-year, based on the latest Eurostat figures reviewed by Financial Tribune.
The main exported items were furniture, bedding, mattress, cushion, lamps, fruit, nuts, zest of citrus fruits, plastic products, iron and steel, natural or cultured pearls, precious or semi-precious stones and metals.
Imports of Iran from the Czech Republic last year amounted to nearly €67.12 million, showing a 23.85% increase YOY.
The imports mainly consisted of nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances and their parts, electrical machinery equipment and parts, sound recorders and reproducers and television image and sound recorders and reproducers, glass and glassware, salt, sulfur, plastering materials, lime and cement, inorganic chemicals, organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals and rare-earth metals.
