Customs duty-free allowance for sailors doing business in border and coastal towns has been increased to reach 100 million rials ($2,127), a parliamentarian said. As per the new bylaw, each sailor is allowed to take home up to 100 million rials worth of goods, six times a year duty-free. “Previously, sailors could enjoy exemption from customs duties for imports worth up to 40 million rials ($851),” Mehr News Agency also quoted Amer Ka’bi as saying.
