Transactions With Romania Up 12%

Trade transactions between Iran and Romania during the 11 months to Nov. 30, 2017, reached €437.13 million, indicating a 12% rise compared with the corresponding period of last year, based on the latest Eurostat figures shared with Financial Tribune. Iran’s exports to the European country plummeted by 57% during the period year-on-year to reach about €42.87 million from €100.82 million in the corresponding period of last year. Imports from Romania into Iran stood at close to €394.27 million, showing a 36% increase YOY. Back in October, the World Bank estimated that Romania’s economy could rise above its potential in 2017 and 2018, noting that GDP would probably grow by 5.5% in 2017 because of the fiscal stimulation measures and the improvement of the European economy.
