Iran and Finland traded more than €106 million worth of goods during the 11 months to Nov. 30, 2017, to register a 60% hike in bilateral exchanges compared with the corresponding period of last year, the latest Eurostat figures shared with Financial Tribune show. Iran’s exports had a meager share of €445,670 from the two countries’ overall trade. As per the agreement signed by Chairman of the Agriculture Ministry’s Department for International Affairs Houman Fathi and Finnish Ambassador to Iran Keijo Norvanto, a delegation of Finnish agro businesses are planning to visit Tehran in February, IRNA reported.  The two sides have called for expanding cooperation between their respective private companies.  Finland is self-sufficient in major agricultural products and the key sector accounts for 2.5% of the country’s $186 billion GDP.
