More than 6 million tons of commodities worth $3.32 million were exported from North Khorasan Province during the eight months to Nov. 21, 2017, Chairman of North Khorasan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Mohammad Samadi said.
Petrochemical and steel products were the main exported goods to the neighboring country, Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture’s news portal reported.
The northeastern Iranian province imported 422.3 tons of products worth $392,000 from Turkey. The imports mainly included hydraulic press, textiles and nickel.
North Khorasan is home to 406 factories, producing 71 types of products for domestic and international markets. According to Samadi, the province exports goods to 28 countries, including Spain, Italy, France and Germany.
The province is also a hub of agricultural products such as pistachio, saffron and nuts, producing 1.50 million tons of crops annually.
