Some 137,960 public complaints against goods and service providers were filed with the Industries, Mining and Trade Organizations of Iranian provinces in the nine months to Dec. 21, 2017, 85% of which pertained to products and the rest to services, a report published by the Consumer and Producer Protection Organization said.
Bread, fruit, vegetable and apparel topped the list of goods against which complaints were filed. Auto shops, parking lots and real-state agencies were among the service centers accounting for a majority of complaints over the period.
Most complaints concerned profiteering, shortchanging and not displaying price tags on products.
