Iran exported some $4 billion worth of agricultural and agro processing industries’ products during the first eight months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Nov. 21), registering a 2.7% increase compared with the similar period of last year, the deputy head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran said. “Exports of dairy products, chocolate and confectionary, fruit and vegetables, flowers and plants, seafood and processed products experienced a 31%, 25.7%, 21%, 14.3%, 27% and 11% growth respectively over the eight-month period,” Mahmoud Bazari was also quoted as saying by IRNA. The Statistical Center of Iran’s latest report shows the country’s agricultural production grew by 0.9% during the first half of the current fiscal (March 21-Sept. 22) year-on-year.
