More than $87 million worth of goods were exported from the northeastern Khorasan Razavi Province during the first nine months of the current Iranian fiscal year (started March 21, 2017), registering a 7% rise compared with last year’s corresponding period, IRNA quoted deputy provincial governor, Ali Rasoulian, as saying.
The Iranian province has two border crossings: Dogharoun with Afghanistan and Bajgiran with Turkmenistan.
Exports to Afghanistan included fruit and vegetable, construction materials, food, containers, iron and chemicals while those to Turkmenistan mainly consisted of carpets and aluminum products.
