Tehran’s Tax Share Halved

Some 160 trillion rials ($3.79 billion) worth of tax are collected from Tehran Province annually, of which the city of Tehran’s share stands at 20 trillion rials ($474 million) in the current fiscal year (started March 21), the economic deputy of Tehran mayor said. “The share is dwarfed by last year’s $948 million (March 2016-17),” Samiollah Hosseini Makarem was also quoted as saying by Donya-e-Eqtesad.
