The visiting Head of Qatar-Iran Friendship Group said the Anzali Free Zone could link the Persian Gulf Arab country to Caspian littoral states. Masoud ibn Abdullah al-Hanzab said the zone’s ample trade capacities could help Qatar access the CIS markets. “Speeding up in transportation of commodities and easing access to goods is among Qatar’s priorities in its transactions with Iran”, said the Qatari official in his meeting with Managing Director of Anzali Free Zone Organization, Reza Masrour. Qatar is considering the CIS as an alternative market for Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon.
