Iran-Azeri Trade

A high-ranking delegation of Azerbaijani officials is in Tehran for a three-day visit aimed at enhancing economic cooperation on energy, customs, tourism, and transportation. Azeri Economy and Industry Minister Shahin Mustafayev heads the delegation which is here at the invitation of the minister of communications. The trip follows the ninth meeting of Iran-Azerbaijan Economic Cooperation Council held in Baku last month. Trade volume between Tehran and Baku currently stands at $500 million. The figure is expected to rise in the near future.
