The 17th International Exhibition of Home Appliances is scheduled to open in Tehran on Nov. 23 and will run for four days.
Iran’s Home Appliances Association Secretary Habibollah Ansari said 294 domestic and 136 foreign companies from 20 countries are expected to attend the expo, Financial Tribune’s sister newspaper Donya-e-Eqtesad reported.
Participants will arrive from China, Russia, Turkey, Italy, Germany, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Spain, France and Switzerland.
According to the official, Iran’s home appliance industry currently has a turnover of $8 billion per year, as local production meets 75% of domestic demand.
