Close to 3,170 tons of coconut worth more than 164.45 billion rials (over $5 million) were imported from eight countries to Iran during the five months to Aug. 22, data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration showed.
India and Sri Lanka, with $1.75 million and $1.69 million, respectively were the main exporters of the fruit to the country, followed by Thailand, Vietnam, the UAE, Indonesia, Philippines and Malaysia, Young Journalists Club reported.
