France’s import from Iran reached $20 million during the five months to Aug. 22, rising by $11 million compared with last year’s corresponding period, the director of Europe and Americas Department at the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran announced. Behrouz Hassan Olfat added that France, after Germany, is Europe’s second biggest exporter and an important exporter of industrial machinery, technical tools and technological products.  According to the latest statistics of International Trade Center, Iran, with a share of 0.3%, is ranked 45th among exporters of goods to the European country, while the country is the 59th biggest importer from France with a share of 0.2%, Mehr News Agency reported. The official noted that Iran imported $498 million worth of goods during the five-month period, registering a 24% increase year-on-year.  According to Olfat, auto parts had a $253-million share in Iran’s total imports.
