Iran exported $215 million worth of goods to Turkmenistan during the six months to Sept. 22.
According to Iran’s economic attaché to Turkmenistan, Rahmatollah Khormali, the exports mainly included steel, cement, clinker, bitumen, plastic products and potato, IRNA reported. “Iran is among the top 10 exporting countries to Turkmenistan. Turkey, Russia and China are the biggest exporters of commodities and services to Turkmenistan,” he said.
Khormali noted that the neighboring country imports $5 billion worth of goods annually.
“An Iranian expo will be held in Turkmenistan’s capital Ashgabat in the Iranian month of Esfand (Feb. 20-March 20, 2018),” he said.
