An Iranian delegation is scheduled to visit Austria from November 12 to 17.

Headed by the deputy head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Ala Mir Mohammad Sadeqi, the mission will comprise business owners active in the fields of textile, industrial and mining machinery and equipment, auto industry, oil and gas, refinery and renewable energy, aviation, electricity and electronics, agriculture and foodstuff, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, finance and banking.

They will survey avenues of expanding bilateral ties with their Austrian counterparts, ISNA reported.

Iran-Austria bilateral trade stood at $377 million in 2016. Iran mainly exported agricultural products, grains, medicinal herbs and hand-woven carpets to Austria and imported industrial, electrical and digital machinery, home appliances, rail and railroad equipment, receivers, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment in return.
