The government will pay 13 trillion rials ($481 million at official exchange rate) to the industrial sector by the end of this year, deputy minister of industry, mine and trade said. The subsidies for the industrial sector are aimed at protecting small and medium-sized enterprises and increasing the export of technical and engineering services, Ali Yazdani told IRNA on Tuesday. Out of the total amount of subsidies to be paid to the industries, 12 trillion rials will be earmarked for protecting SMEs and one trillion rials will be allocated for enhancing export of high-tech products and engineering services, he added.
