Iran exported close to 24,000 tons of ice-cream worth nearly 3.4 trillion rials ($104 million) during the five months to August 22, based on data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
The main export destinations for Iranian ice-cream over the period were Iraq, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait and Georgia, Young Journalists Club reported.
Although Iran is self-sufficient in the production of ice-cream, it still relies on imports when it comes to machinery and raw materials.
