The government and the parliament are set to work together in a bid to improve the business environment and increase the productivity rate, Gholam-Hossein Shafei, the chairman of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture said in a news conference on Saturday in Mashhad. He noted that the government is fully prepared for the approval of new regulations in this regard, while the lawmakers have ratified the law for the improvement of business environment. The World Bank’s 2014 report ranked Iran at 130th place in terms of ease of doing business. The aggregate ranking on the ease of doing business benchmarks each economy’s performance on World Bank indicators against that of all other economies.
