Iran exported $100 million worth of beverages, 75% of which were fruit juice and concentrates, in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2017), Kaveh Zargaran, chairman of Agriculture Commission of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, was quoted as saying by TCCIM’s news portal.

He made the statements at the Eighth International Beverages Coffee and Tea Industry Exhibition, also known as IBIE 2017, which was held at Tehran International Permanent Fairgrounds on Sept. 15-18.

The country exported 21,000 tons of mineral water and 19,000 tons of carbonated drinks and non-alcoholic beer last year. The nominal capacity of Iranian fruit concentrate production units stands at 290,000 tons per year. In addition, 200 fruit juice production units in the country have an annual production capacity of 4 million tons.
