A joint forum between traders of Iran and Bulgaria is scheduled to be held in Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture headquarters in Tehran on October 3. Attending the forum will be Bulgarian Minister of Economy Teodor Sedlarski and the president of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov who is accompanied by a commercial delegation from that country, the ICCIMA’s news portal reported. The delegation consists of representatives of 20 companies active in the fields of pharmaceuticals, food production, agriculture, transportation and logistics, lighting equipment, cosmetics, telecommunications, auto parts manufacture, construction and safety equipment. Iran is in talks with Bulgaria to roll out a multimodal transit corridor stretching from the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea through Azerbaijan and Georgia. The Islamic Republic seeks to use the corridor as an alternative for the current route to Europe that passes through Turkey.
