Stationery Production Meets 45% of Domestic Demand

Local stationery production meets 45% of domestic demand in the current year (March 2017-18), up from last year’s 30%, the head of Stationery and Engineering Equipment Union said.

“The remaining 55% are imported mostly from China, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and some European countries,” Mousa Farzanian was also quoted as saying by IRNA.

Farzanian noted that Iranian stationery production firms have the capacity to meet 80-85% of domestic demand and are now working below capacity.
