New Factory Launched in Garmsar

A new livestock and poultry production factory was launched on Thursday in the city of Garmsar in Semnan Province in the presence of Iran’s reappointed Agriculture Minister Mahmoud Hojjati.

“The factory has the capacity to produce 60,000 tons of protein foods per year,” director general of Semnan’s Agriculture Organization, Hassan Miremad, was quoted as saying during the inauguration ceremony.

He also noted that the newly-launched factory will operate as a cooperative that has 2,148 members, Mehr News Agency reported. “The factory invested 68.1 billion rials ($1.757 million),” he saied.
