Call for Employing Foreign Consultants to Promote Exports

Referring to the dearth of incentives as a key impediment to export promotion in Iran, Mohammad Shariatmadari, the new minister of industries, mining and trade, said the government should employ foreign consultants to properly introduce global markets to domestic producers. Shariatmadari noted that the move can serve as a form of subsidy the government can grant to producers, thereby encouraging and promoting exports. He made the remarks during a ceremony held on Tuesday to mark the minister’s inauguration and the farewell of former minister, Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, Mehr News Agency reported.
