The number of books published in the Iranian month of Tir (June 22-July 22, 2017) saw a 25% decrease to stand at 1,249 whereas their prices rose by 22% from an average of 144,980 rials to 176,430 rials, Jam-e Jam Online reported. About 5,238 new titles in Tehran and 2,612 titles in other Iranian cities were out over the month, registering a rise of 13% and 144% respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period.
