Ninety-six percent of Iran’s industrial units are small- and medium-sized enterprises, the chairman of Iran’s Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization said.
“About 1.3 million people are employed in SMEs while 800,000 work in industrial parks in Iran,” Ali Yazdani was also quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.
Yazdani said some 300 trillion rials ($7.87 billion) worth of banking facilities will be allocated to revive more than 10,000 struggling enterprises in the current Iranian year (started March 21).
